the beach is excellent - waves can be a bit strong depending on whether there was a storm the previous/current day (obviously); a good selection of restaurants to choose from. The beach chairs/umbrellas for rent at $10.00/day/person is a bit much considering many were torn and marked up - aside from this, it's worth it if your goal is to...

I think everyone makes Shoal Bay beach part of their trip to Anguilla. It's gorgeous and the blue water reminded me very much of Bora Bora but without the 12 hour flight.
i'm not sure if i missed something of not but i really wasnt sure what all the hype is about. all the beaches in anguilla are nice what i can say is i didn't see anything here nicer then any other?

We came here for a day trip from SXM to get away from the crowds. The sand is amazing, the water beautiful and the snorkeling isn't bad either.

Since we were told that Shoal Bay east was one of the world's best, we decided to spend a day there. It was a bit windy, so snorkeling was a bit of a hit and miss. We also wanted to try the glassbottom boat ride, but decided the sea was just a bit rough. All in all, a great day...
