Angel's Landing was an amazing experience. Even though I didn't make it to very top, it was still a pretty amazing view from Scout's Lookout. The first 2 miles up is tough as you're going up to 1000 feet in elevation. Once you get to Scout's Lookout, you can either continue to climb up the chain part or just hang... More

this is a very strenuous hike, however, if you go slow and stop alot, the views are breathtaking. When we reached the end - we chose not to go up the ropes to the very top as there were too many people and if you have any sort of fear of heights, it's not recommended. That doesn't mean you can't... More

This merits the #1 attraction in Zion by far even though I did not quite make it to the top. I have zero embarrassment saying I gave up as this is not child's play! Very challenging first 2 miles simply because of steep grade. Then after the landing area the challenge intensifies with a VERY technical climb requiring no fear... More

We arrived at the trail head around 11 AM in mid-May. We are "senior citizens," but were able to hike to the top in 2.5 hrs. The first 3/4 is paved to prevent erosion, and consists of a lot of switchbacks, including the famous "Walter's Wiggles." The remainder of the hike to the top is challenging, but there are series... Great hike---met our expectations. We went on the first shuttle of the day (7 a.m.) and had the luxury of doing the daunting switchbacks in the shade and did not deal with as much traffic going up or down the cable portion of the hike. The total round trip hike was 2.5 hours (some say its 4 hours) with 8-10... More

Grueling hike up but worth it. I saw 70 yr old plus people going up so I guess I shouldn't complain. More

When you want to hike Angel's Landing, make sure you wear good hiking shoes and pack enough water. The trip up is heavy, specially the last part to the top. It looks only a bit further from the plateau to the top, but it's a lot tougher then the hike to the plateau itself. But, once you're on top, the... More

Hard to believe that this hike is allowed in a National Park. The last 1/4 mile is on a small ledge and you have to hold a chain to keep from falling.........Of course every year someone gets killed. Not for the faint of heart..........but you will never forget the climb and the view. More

Angel's Landing is a very well-known hike at Zion for good reason. The hike up from the base via Walter's Wiggles and back is a great length for a day hike and the views on top are beautiful. As others have mentioned, it is a steep hike and has some very, very exposed areas with precipitous drops. If you have... More

This was quite the hike! Most of it is paved, but it's still torture due to all the switchbacks. Scout's landing has a pretty good view if you can't get the rest of the way. Going up the last portion to Angel's Landing was a bit rough, but I found going down to be scarier. Luckily most of the people... More
