It can be crowded at times and the road signs at the bottom warning certain vehicles away is for real. If it's raining, best have a 4x4 SUV at least. More

This is a great senic drive up to the Alpine Center and then either down back to Estes Park or the Western Slope via Trail Ridge. It is very dusty though and oneway on a dirt road for about 11 miles. More

Love this road, but it has been just one lane so you have to be ready for a slow but scenic ride. If you hate heights, sit on the side of the car away from the edge :>). More

I have not done the whole drive as I tend to go when the road isn't open yet. I have done it as a hike up to the waterfalls though and its gorgeous as not a very hard hike. A must see in RMNP! More
