While visiting Mammoth Cave, we spent a day canoeing on the Green River. We rented canoes from a rental place right outside of the park boundary. You drove your car to the take-out spot and the outfitter would bring you and your canoe to the put-in. The canoe was a nice and comfortable 17" Royalex canoe in very nice shape....

We just took a canoe trip down the Green River with my husband and 3 daughters. Very enjoyable afternoon. Several sandbars where you can get out and the kids can wade/play in the water. Beautiful scenary. The river is relatively shallow and very slow.
