Coming in from the North end you come upon Manzanita Lake. Camping, cabins, store, museum, hiking and more. Lassen Park has a lot to offer all who come to visit. Just driving through there is still a lot to see.

Mt. Lassen Volcanic National Park is unlike any we have experienced! The south entrance is 30 wondrous miles to our campsite. The coolest thing about Mt. Lassen Park is that the main road meanders through the most interesting natural wonders that people want to see on the way to Manzanita Lake. There are waterfalls, flowerful meadows, trees, trees, and more... More

We spent five days at the Manzanita lake camping site at Lassen. I recommend it wholeheartedly for three reasons: The most obvious of course is the amazing views, beautiful lake and wonderful hikes in the areas. The second are the facilities which were very well maintained. We stayed at the Lake manzanita cabins for some of the nights and they... More

rent a kayak and paddle around the lake-then get one of the big ice creams at the store! The color of the water in the lake was super clear.

Very pretty lake. Absolutely clear water. A very easy walk around the entire lake from the cabins or the campground is doable in an hour or so.

We stayed at the new camping cabins (reviewed separately) and being close to this little alpine lake was a bonus. We saw deer daily. We rented kayaks and went out on the lake (one hour is plenty... it is not a big lake). They have a nice trail around the lake and two evenings we walked to the west side... More

We camped here last year and loved it. Going again this year has cemented it as an annual tradition. The whole of Lassen Volcanic National Park is a treasure and it's so weird that more people don't know about it. The campsites are clean and have bear lockers, nice big picnic tables, and fire pits. The bathrooms are clean and... More

The lake is located on the north end of Lassen Park just down the street from the entrance and the visitor center. It's lovely for a day trip (just 45 minutes from Redding or 4.5 hours from San Francisco) or as an overnight base camp for exploring Lassen. Attractions include: -- Several scenic hiking trails start in this area --... More

We Camp there at night and it was great. Shower was open 24 hours, and there was even ice cream at the store there. Campground was clean.
