This is another favorite place to take family to show off the natural beauty of our home and surrounding area. If you are up to it, there is a campground right there at Lassen Park (North) and they have tent, camper and cabin camping available. More

Great place to camp, hike and kayak. The store has anything that you might possible forget and fabulous customer service. The camper cabins are very basic, but a great option to make it an easy getaway. More

Manzanita Lake in reached from the north side of Lassen Volcanic National Park. It's a beautiful lake and provides a cool reflection photo of the peak in the distance. There is camping and a store. There are trout in the lake, but the water is so clear that it's very hard to catch them as they are fished relentlessly and... More

We camped at Lake Manzanita and loved it. Far less crowded than some of the more tourist magnets like Yosemite but the scenery was fantastic. The campground had very friendly staff, clean showers and a good store. The lake itself is awesome with fantastic views of the mountains and there are no power boats allowed which makes it very tranquil.... More

My husband and I visited Lassen Park in July. It was a wonderful experience-- hiking, gorgeous views, very educational on the recent eruption in 1915 with rock piles everywhere at the base of the mountain. We're also swimmers. Manzanita Lake was listed by some online as a place to swim, and some do. But we decided not to because of... More

I have lived in Northern California for 38 years and Manzanita Lake is my favorite place to go. Even if for only a weekend day, My husband and I may only walk the Lake trail and explore the wonders of the forest but it is the most relaxing place on earth. We have on occasion taken the unlighted tour through... More
