If you want true solitude, this area is the place. Was there in February and I could find a pull off where their were no other cars very easily. So quiet your ears buzz. I could just sit on one of those those rocks for hours or I would start walking and just kept going More

We enjoyed this park. We started in the welcome center, watched the movie. We than did the hour hike. Just beautiful sites. Bring sunscreen and water. Next we drove through the park and stopping at most of the stops. Check out the camp sites..looks like a movie scene. Every turn brings on new flowers and scenery. Loved this park. The... More

I was in Joshua Tree area this past November for 5 days. The park is truly beautiful. You dont really get the beauty by driving through, you need to hike inside and get lost in the natural beauty. I highly recommend the area. More

Having pored the maps and trying to figure out the best day trip route from San Diego, by blind luck I selected going on from the Northern approach to the Park 1st. (Rather than the southern approach). Using the main entrance off of SR 62 just start wandering south down the only road and let the different hikes or sites... More

We went to see the spring flowers blooming in a desert. Saw them-but the top sights were the rock formations, the elevations and the easy walking trails. Wish we could stay longer but this was planned as a day trip and we're glad we went, saw, climbed and enjoyed the day at Joshua Tree. More

Note: This review is for the National Park. Without further adieu....I absolutely loved Joshua Tree National Park! I had no idea what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. In addition, since the forum on TA is so quiet I just assumed it was not that popular. I could not be any wrong! The place was packed! It is a rock... More

Do yourself a favor and visit Joshua Tree. Avoid June-Sept because it is so hot and dry. Bring your camera and hiking gear. There are plenty of inexpensive hotels in the are where you can stay and visit the park during the day. Or, there are also campgrounds to enjoy and even companies like Joshua Tree Outfitters that will buy... More

This walk through the abandoned Queen Ranch was a step back in time when settlers made do with what they had. The Ranger even talked about the Indian settlement. It made us appreciate modern conveniences like grocery stores and gasoline stations. Older children would enjoy it. Be aware; there's no place to sit down. Someone brought a camp chair for... More
