Beautiful views and a well maintained trail. Only drawback mules stink and make a huge mess. That said you should give the North Rim a try. You can't go all the way in a day but you can still get amazing views in a day hike. More

This is very different than the south rim. Do not plan on seeing the Colorado River or broad expansive views deep within the canyon.
