The scenery in Glacier National Park is indescribably beautiful and worth the trip. I'd say awe-inspiring and if you can enter from the east and take a trip through BearTooth Pass, you'll not be disappointed! More

“Great place to start”

on a tour of the park, begin here. It has a lovely old lodge with a huge fireplace to warm your bones at the end of the season. The lake itself is beautiful if you stay in a cabin and can see the stars and hear the quiet at night. It got us ready for the more dramatic parts later. More

My wife and I visited Glacier in 2003 and are headed back in a week. Glacier Park is the most awesome scenery I have seen in America and staying at the Lake MacDonald Lodge added to the experience. Yes, it is expensive. Yes, it is old. But, to be able to visualize how things were 'in the day' and experience... More

Glacier is such a beautiful place to photograph and spend time, that all the nonsense that friends and coworkers relate concerning management of the lodge and/or restaurant is just noise. We had bad booking, lost items from our room, crummy food, but compared to other places we've been, it was fine! The employees were getting smashed in the lounge and... More
