It is not only the lake that is beautiful, You can also visit Cameron Lake and Red Rock Canyon. There are numerous hiking trails. The town site is open from Spring to autumn. Be prepared for windy days, and the water is very cold. More

Stayed in the old hotel right above the lake. Wonderful old place! Goat haunt is the must place to visit by boat across the lake. More

Nice little village. Great ice cream in the summer. Enjoy the old car exhibition in the fall. Get a side tour to the Prince of Wales hotel. More

Didn't expect such a dramatic mountain range at the edge of the prairies. Beautiful lake/valley surrounded by Mountains, Amazing Lodge/Hotel and friendly village. Actually saw an adult Grizzly 5 min out of town on the main road and another Grizzly Cub ran in front to the car 20 min further down the road on the way to the border crossing More

This is one of the jewels in the crown of North America's greatest mountain chain. Yes, the glaciers in the U.S. side have either disappeared, or are melting fast, but the huge U.S. national park, and its tiny Canadian extension, are well worth a visit for the scenery and a good chance of seeing wildlife, even without hiking far into... We spent time on both the east and west sides as well as ventured into Canada for a short time. The scenery is fanstastic and there are hiking trails for people like me who just wish to take a nature walk up to the serious hiker. Not to be missed if your in the area. More
