For how accessible this and all of the other main attractions are, it would be silly not to go see Devil's golf course.... it's neat to see and you pretty much drive 2 midtown a road, park, walk around, then drive 2 min back to the main road. Do it.
I am not a golfer, but I'm pretty sure only the Devil could play here! A short drive from the main road, it doesn't take too long to drive to the viewing area of this imposing landscape. The crystallized salt formations ARE as sharp as they look.
From a distance, this just looks like another part of the salt flats, but up close you see that it would be almost impossible to walk on. This was one of our first stops in Death Valley--what an interesting place. Amazing to see this first hand and hike out through this area. Be careful walking through it, but try it!
The giant jagged mounds of salt heaving up here will amaze...it's like no other landscape, hostile, rough, but with its own beauty.

A short drive to view the "course", and I found it pretty interesting. Imagine how this was formed...
It's been a while since I've been there, but it's a cool place to go. If you are only there for a short time, you can skip it for the more popular things at the park.
out in the middle of the valley, what was Lake Manley - vast fields of salt crystals, usually blinding white if clean; the water table is very close to the surface here, and the formations are sharp - be careful when you walk around. Look for tiny crystals forming here and there.
