A lot of people visit Crater Lake and you can't go wrong no matter what BUT if you haven't taken the park boat around the lake you haven't been there. Wizard Island is a cinder cone on Crater Lake. The island offers several hikes, allowing you to climb to the top of the cinder cone (and into its caldera) and to work your way around the island. There is also swimming (brrrr!) and fishing. The only way to get to the island is via one of the early morning boat... More
