Don't miss this gorgeous breathtaking drive around CRATER LAKE at this national park.........YOU cannot go all the way around unless you get there in JUNE through September because of 20 feet plus of snow....

Crater Lake is a beautiful national park. You can drive around the rim of the lake & get a view from every angle. Wizard Island sits in the lake! I prefer summertime at Crater Lake because winter is cold & snowy!

We packed a few folding chairs, plastic wine glasses, wine, food and patience. There are pull outs that allow you to simply sit and take in the view around the perimteter of the lake. I recommend this drive for those who simply need a shift in their thinking......

Breath taking views all around the rim. If one takes the trolly than sit back and relax while someone else drives and tells you about the history of the lake. Great thing to do.

This mountain lake filling a volcano's caldera is really one of the "must see" experiences of any trip to southern Oregon. It's a two-hour drive east on Hwy 62 out of Medford and is worth the drive!

There are tons of pull-outs to get off the road and see the lake. If you are taking photos, and start your drive in the morning, head along the east drive and go counter clockwise around the lake. The Rim Drive has many pull-offs to take in the beauty of Crater Lake. Take advantage of each because there is a different aspect to see. Part of the Rim Drive was closed during our visit due to snow - didn't take away from the spots to view the lake.

There is beauty everywhere, and it takes a whole day to see the park. The rangers are helpful and nice.

Easy access, beautiful views, so fun to see snow in the summer! Can't wait to go back! It's wonderful that the park admission is good for 3 days.
