if you interested in the origins of mankind this is the place to go, its educational and informative, however if the far drive puts you off you can always go to the origins center at the University of Witwatersrand which is part of the cradle of humankind.

The Cradle of Humankind, both “Maropeng” (museum) and the nearby Sterkfontein Caves were a highlight of our time in Johannesburg. About 45mins out of the city it is definitely worth a visit.

Nice and Clean. There is 2 places where you can eat a shop or 2 and a hotel on the side. What makes this worth while is a very nice water ride for the kids. Very interesting to go through the exibits. I always return to experience Maropeng again.

An absolute must for adults and children ! Make sure you can spend quite a few hours there. very educational but still exciting
