I had a great day with Tess in beautiful Litchfield region. The tour was perfect, just the sort of thing I was looking for, out of the touristic scheme. Tess is fabulous, her knowledge of the region is, of course, impressive and I felt privileged that she shared it with us. I would definitely recommend it ! More

Tess' day tour was special and unique - on my day, we had 4 women in the car, but she can take up to 6 people in the 4WD. I asked for lots of waterholes - we visited 3 different spots; Wangi falls was glorious. Tess grew up in the area, so has heaps of stories. She will also show... More

I rang NT Indigenous Tours, the week before I went to Darwin as her tours sounded like something a bit out of the norm. I was specifically interested in bush tucker as i worked in the food industry and was looking for something special which I could add to a new product i am introducing onto the market mid 2012.... I am devastated to read this ‘review’ from a person who didn’t even experience my tour. And I don’t think it’s fair that she should be allowed to take out her frustration and lack of forward planning by devaluing my tours on tripadvisor. My tour company is a one-woman show—I am the tour guide, receptionist, everything, trying to earn an... More

I booked this tour because it came highly praised in the reviews and seemed to offer more than just a commercial coach trip. However, it did not live up to expectations and we ended up rather disappointed. Perhaps Tess was having an off day but I can't believe it was the same tour other reviewers had raved about. It consisted... More

I’m so disappointed to read this review (so long after the event) but I can understand your sentiment. Your tour was at the height of the tourist season when I was getting burnt out from so many long tours in a row, and a guide I’d employed to take this tour had let me down. You were very quiet and... Tess took myself and my two children on her tour last Saturday 27th August 2011 in Litchfield National Park near Darwin. Having travelled quite a bit and not being a fan of bus tours, I was sure this type of intimate small group tour would be something special. I was not disappointed. In fact the time we spent in Litchfield... More

Thank you so much for your review of my tour. You and your kids were so delightful, and so much fun to take out to my country. You really hit the nail on the head with your comment about what you get out of something depending on what you put in. That is so true of life, not just my... More

She has the experience of indigenous customs and knowledge of her home country yet she as educated in melbourne. she took us to great spots, could tell us about the history, plants, how she managed combining traditional and western ways and how she was teaching her children both. she was extraordinarily openhearted and generous. You could ask and discuss anything... More

This is a great opportunity to take a tour with someone who actually "lives" this area. Tess grew up in this area, and is able to personalize the history, flora, fauna and wildlife. A great opportunity. More

We would highly recommend Tess to get a real life experience on not just the Northern Territory, but to gain some insight into the Aboriginal people. We visited a wildlife park where we were instructed on some of the Territory's creatures as well as tasting and being shown some great bush food and natural remedies. Fabulous waterfalls, tasty lunch, soothing... More

There are many ways to see Litchfield National Park as the swathe of coaches from Darwin each day proves. Many visitors will find it more comfortable to take the bigger standard tours and that's great. For visitors who want to understand Australia from a different point of view, Tess at Indigenous Tours is wonderful. Litchfield is her homeland and she... More
