Really friendly locals welcomed us into their houses and showed as how they lived. Definitely eye opening view of technologically simpler life but people seemed genuinely happy.

We unfortunately did not plan enough time to stay there. There are many hikes available through the rice terraces. The views are breath taking and make sure you have your camera charged.

Ping'an is a beautiful village built into the hills of the rice paddies. The locals minorities still work in the villages and farm the rice paddies, and so you get real insight into how the local culture and activities. Scenery is beautiful and it's a nice change from China's crowded cities!
