“Cairns only nude beach”

Facing the ocean, to your right towards Cairns at the southern end of the beach is an outcrop of rock in the sand. From this point is the unofficial nude beach. “Long drive to get to but it's deserted and beautiful”

Ellis beach is one of Cairns many beaches which lie North of the city. It is furtherest away from the city (past Palm Cove to the North) and at the time of writing I don't believe any bus services go here (ie sunbus) like they do to the other beaches and palm cove. It is amazing how many different beaches there are but each on is different. This had harder sand and calmer waves. There is a cabana where live music plays, good place to hang out.
