Hakuba 47 is combined with Goryu, so a lift pass gives you access to both mountains (it's possible to catch a lift up one side and ride down the other) and there is some good variation of terrain. In fresh powder, the tree riding zone was as good as anywhere else I've snowboarded. You must register for free at the... More

Three ski areas in one, kinda sorta. 47, Goryu & Goryu Imori are all interconnected and one lift pass gave me access to all three places so it made this place a semi-rival to Happo'One. Fantastic park area for the people who like jumps, etc. The half-pipe is impressive and slalom course for boarders is cool. Lots of powder. I... More

A smallish resort but all the better for it. Great runs for all levels but particularly good for beginners. Luis diner makes great fresh pizzas at the bottom of the gondolas and there are other bars too. Ski hire seemed cheaper here than any other places in Happo, Hakuba etc. Hakuba 47 ski school were brilliant, great instructors, but book... More

Hakuba 47 has this chilled, laid back vibe which makes it a great place to just enjoy your boarding whether it is in the park, down the cat tracks or the black runs. It links in to Hakuba Goryu via an impressively long series of chairlifts and what's great is your one ski lift pass gets you onto both mountains.... More
