When you reach the top you have a wonderful view of the Fonseca Gulf with its islands , the other side you can see the pacific coast of El Salvador and when you turn back you can see the HONDURAS border and Nicaragua. you must be there. More

Not easy to find but worth it. Coming in on the La Union road bypass take the second exit right to Conchagita – NOT Conchagua. From here to the top it should take about 35 minutes using 4WD. I don’t think you could make it without 4WD. Ask for the Volcan – if i remember there is a brown sign... More
