This is the original business center of Tokyo with many big company headquarters. Nothing of particular interest but large concrete buildings. The main office of Bank of Japan is an early 20th century stone building and impressive.

Great area to stay. Incredible stores, restaurants and ambiance. Stores that you don't find anywhere else. Tokyo Station is located here, so you can get anywhere from here. Walking distance to Ginza.
High end shopping area targeted to rich locals, very trendy for Japanese. Quality and expensive stuff.
This area has the shopping malls and restaurants - lots of choices! It is also connected to the Tokyo Train Station, so one can practically go anywhere from this location.
Don't know why you would want to walk around the business district unless you want to see business people going about their business. There are restaurants underground at some of the buildings for the business people.
Marunouchi is a luxurious and beautiful area where located by many of world famous offices and has many hi-end brands on street.
It was quite sad that none of the tourist guide mentioned Marunouchi as one of the recommended shopping place.
I work in Marunouchi. Other than really good restaurants are ample here, shopping is great. Marunouchi Building, and many other buildings in this area have nice boutiques, etc. it is not crowded like Shibuya, Shinjuku or Ikebukuro. I just love this...

A very elegant area with large ponds (artificial lakes?) and trees. Nice walking area. Tokyo Station has an entrance from Marunouchi.
I love the Marunochi area. You don't have to go into the French patisseries and high end stores -- the greens and the beautiful buildings can be enjoyed for free. And if you do want to eat macarons and buy a fancy purse, those are here, too, along with a few museums. Both worlds.
I had fun just walking along...
