Everybody must visit Guadalest if they get the chance, you would not believe this beautiful Valley existed behind a rock in the hill. You also get the most magnificent views from here. The museum is also worth a visit, the guy who built the dolls houses was an amazing person to get so much detail put into his work More

The day I was there was not so nice weather wise, but was still a pleasant place to visit. Nice restaurants and bars and amazing views. More

We went on a bus tour to this area which took us through a rich agricultural area up into a mountainous area which we were told was one of the last holdouts of the Muslim Moors in Spain. This was really mountainous rugged terrain and the confrontation and fighting in those long ago days [1400's] must have been a time... More

Brilliant town to visit to enjoy a bit of Spanish scenery on the drive plus an interesting castle with spectacular valley views. Downside is that coaches are shipped in to it and I imagine that it would be ridiculously busy in the Summer months. More

We spent a lovely day in Guadalest, a charming little town with a lot of history, about 8 different museums, and a laid-back arty vibe. The surroundings are stunning, with beautiful mountains, a lake, fields with orange trees...and we were lucky enough to go in a quiet day without tourist crowds. One of the best moments though were lunch time.... More

Enjoy the drive up from the coast through the almond groves and when you get to Guadalest, enjoy the views! A beautiful pueblo, with many artisan shops, and stunning views over the Guadalest Valley and of the ancient fortifications of the old monastery. More

The Castell of Guadalest offers fantastic views on clear days. The area is quite touristic and it's difficult to find some recommendable places to eat/drink. We normally go hiking in the mountains nereby. Drive to the nearby village Benifato and take to the left passing through the village. There is a nice hiking trail (walk for about 2,5 hours) where...
