Brilliant town to visit to enjoy a bit of Spanish scenery on the drive plus an interesting castle with spectacular valley views. Downside is that coaches are shipped in to it and I imagine that it would be ridiculously busy in the Summer months. More

We spent a lovely day in Guadalest, a charming little town with a lot of history, about 8 different museums, and a laid-back arty vibe. The surroundings are stunning, with beautiful mountains, a lake, fields with orange trees...and we were lucky enough to go in a quiet day without tourist crowds.
