this is a place that you just cannot miss, you are given a great tour and the whole journey is very enjoyable and the gentleman that give the tour is well versed and very funny and of course the cup of tea and home scones with jam at the end of the tour goes down very well More

Tom has a wonderful place to visit here - his old family home now made into a heritage centre. Tom's stories are great & come from the heart. You can't really call this a museum because it has been a family home, but the artifacts that are on display are very interesting & Tom has a story for them all!... More

For many years we saw the sign when visiting Swinford for Hennigan's Heritage Farm Killasser and thought another thatched cottage with a horse drawing plough outside. Having visited relations in this part of Ireland for many years a trip round Hennigan's brought back many fond memories of how rural Ireland was before the tiger. I would highly recommend a visit, our guide had great insight into what made this part of Ireland special. More

This is a very special place, not only is the location stunning, nestled in the rugged beauty of the bogland with a lake out front, but also the buildings and the people involved make it a unique trip. There are many exhibitions and artifacts on display here, slices of life and history of rural Ireland for the last two centuries... More
