Plenty to do for young or old train buffs from live steam train rides to drive you own train. Beautiful gardens, great train layouts and a good playground for kids, in all a very good day out. More

This was my first visit to Pecorama in Beer, Devon, with my 3-year-old, plus 7-mth baby, and Granny in tow. Pecorama is well-signed locally but roads approaching it are narrow and steep so ensure you are feeling confident driving up and down 15-20% gradients in all weathers! Pecorama is brilliant for kids and adults - especially if you're into trains. We have been before and one of the major plus points of us returning is that it doesn't charge rip-off admission prices i.e. you feel like you have had value for money. On paper, there doesn't look like there is loads to do but we quite easily... More

Very enjoyable visit for adults and children, stunning gardens for everybody to admire better than Chelsea standard. Train rides for everybody through the site with the advantage of beautiful views over the countryside. Sample the superb Devon afternoon tea in the Pullman coach Orion, where Queen Elizabeth travelled on the Golden arrow. Excellent facilities all round. The staff were enthusiastic... More

Really great day out recommended. We have a 5 and 7 yr old and it was a really good day out. the train ride was a good 20 minutes and apart from a very dark tunnel it was enjoyable to adults and children. interesting to see different small trains and to stand on the bridges and wave at the passengers....
