I visited the caves with my family and thoroughly enjoyed our tour!! the guide was wonderful and the caves were very interesting the kids loved it!!! We were looking forward to a cream tea after our tour but sadly the cafe was so cold we ended up going into the village instead which was such a shame as the staff... More

The grandchildren thought it was magical and "creepy" we were amazed at the vastness of the caves - not somewhere you would like to get lost in More

Interesting but not a lot to see, where quarrying has left caves to explore. Floor flat for easy access More

Worth popping into see but while the tour guide was good, an quarry can only be so interesting for a certain amount of time. More

We didn't know this place was there, but it looked really neat, and it is a bat sanctuary too! Lovely people, and a good part of local history. Check it out! More

An interesting visit, lots of info. Not so good for those who find standing for an hour a bit challenging. 'Museum' is just a few boards of photos and articles and these are referred to on the tour, so no need to go down to the caves before your tour to look around it. More

It's an historic quarry rather than a natural cave so there are no spectacular natural formations, but then again you won't bump your head. Instead there are surprisingly large open areas, with more than enough room to stand up comfortably. Our guide did an excellent job, linking together the history of the quarry with the stories of those who worked... More

This site is a fantastic example of quarrying from the time of the Roman's until the late 19th century. Four of was were taken on a guided tour with a woman who knew the entire history of the quarry. She guided us thru lit and semi-lit caverns, explaining the story of the caves in great detail and with a dramatic... More
