I wanted to go with my family to the Crystal Pools like I do every year. The permit normally costs R10. Now Abseil Africa has the monopoly on that reserve. They sell the permits now for R750 but that includes the abseil and the guide. Even though I told them we don't need any guide and we don't want to... More

I do not deal well with heights but if your able and at Table mountain its a great achievement, Its not the sort of thing most of us get to do everyday and its very safe as you have 2 thick ropes on you. Also grab a Table mountain snow globe from the gift shop, I don't know why but... More

But, our daughter did and loved it. She said that the worst part of the whole experience was walking back up the track afterwards. I was most impressed with the information they were happy to give prior to doing it - we exchanged many e-mails and they were very helpful! More

Very professionally run and really friendly staff who took time to put you at ease. I was terrified but they managed to ease my fears and I'm so glad they did...one of the highlights of my holiday! I'd even consider doing it again!! More

I am 60 year old female and I did it. It was a great experience overall. A couple of things you should know if you want to experience this. Just more than halfway down, the mountain gives way and you are suspended in mid air and need to use your ropes to lower yourself. I had been aware of this,... More

Great stuff to do with older children. We felt our 16 year old daughter was in safe hands, and she had fun. She talked about it non-stop - always a good sign! You need to check dates out of season as tours don't run all the time. More

If you do the hike, you must abseil! The trip back up to the top of table was a tiny bit challenging, but not to bad. More

The view from the top of the hill was beautiful. The light betwwen the mountains was brilliant. Unfortunately, the sunset wasn't. Very ordinary pale yellow colour. Still, it was a worthwhile trip. More

Absailing down Table Mountain is one of the most exhilarating experiences you can have in Cape Town. I will never forget the moment I turned around to look at the view over Camps Bay. Nature at its best. This was my first absail and the instructors probably should have been a more thorough with the safety briefing. Luckily I absolutely... More
