The tour was extensive and informative of their factory where they produce wine. It was cool to see it being bottled but the tasting afterwards was a bit disappointing as it was only two wines (one white, one red) and very small pours.

As we have been enjoying Lopez´products for over 40 years, we could not pass up the chance to visit Bodega Lopez. The commercial scale of the enterprise was a contrast to the botique wineries we had visited the day before. Luncheon in their dining room was excellent with tasty food and red wine

This is an interesting tour if you want to see how the big players produce wine. Unfortunately their bottling facility is elsewhere, which would have been interesting to see. We were only invited to sample one wine. We bought some. Not very good.

We were surprised. I expected a 100-year old beat down winery in Maipu but it looks like they just built an ultra-modern but tasteful new building with a second-floor restaurant.
I had the best empanadas of our trip for lunch (appetizer). Very good.
Finally!!! I have heard so often of how you can buy excellent bottles in Argentina for $4...
