Beautiful village, a great base for hiking the Nakasendo Walking Trail to Tsumago, and a quieter place to stay. There is a bus back to Magome for one-way hiking. Each direction is up-and-down, as their is a mountain pass between the villages.
Be sure to pick up a trail guide (in English) at the information office next to the bus...
