The place is just magnificent! You have your own cabin with great breakfast (you can also add the 2 other meals), the staff is super helpful and sympathetic, the views from the higher cabins and the tower are marvelous, there are hummingbirds spots onsite with picnic tables and a roof, the Robledal hiking trail onsite is really peaceful, and you're close to Highway 2 that goes to San Jose so it's easy to come by bus. The chef makes great food inspired by his training with international chefs. Carlos Serrano is a passionate and highly qualified guide. I did 3 tours with him and it was super interesting. He helped us spot a ton of birds (for example quetzals) and visit the paramo (high mountain). Mariam at the reception has an answer for everything and is absolutely adorable. Cabins contain many blankets and heaters in order for you to be comfy at night as it can get very chilly in these high mountains (I wish I had brought more winter clothes!!!). Even outdoor foldable chairs were provided to admire the view from outside (with a cup of coffee you just made in hand). I prefered to just look at the sunset from the sofa :-) Will definitely go back!
